The band recently played at
Whitecraigs Tennis Club. This was a nostalgic return trip for
Forrie since he played to packed houses there in the late 50’s before
setting off on his professional career. The event was a fundraiser for
Smooth Radio’s appeal (The Big Build) for the Marie Curie Hospice at
Stobhill and raised £800.
To Forrie’s great delight, Ronnie Barnet, the man who
organised all the great jazz nights at Whitecraigs on behalf of the club,
appeared at the concert. He’s pictured here with the band members. Ronnie is
the smartly dressed one with the tie !!
